2 Day Intensive Throwing Course

10:30am – 5.30pm daily (1hr lunch break)
Course Overview
Join us in a crash course in all things throwing.
Learn to throw, trim, make handles and slip decorate your very own thrown pots with our talented teacher Merida Richards.
Suitable for absolute beginners!
Day 1 will cover all of the fundamentals of throwing items on the wheel, including cylinders for mugs and plant pots, plates for cake, and bowls for snacks!
Day 2 you will learn how to trim your pots to refine their forms, and how to add stylish and functional handles. You will also learn how to slip decorate your items with a range of techniques from sgraffito, stencilling and slip trailing.
Included:
3 fired pieces (extra pieces can be fired for a small fee each to cover our firing costs).
Items will be glazed for you by our technicians, just choose your colour from a range of studio glazes designed and made here in Salford by our talented team.
Your items will be ready after 4 weeks time, as we need to dry them and fire them twice. You will receive one automatic reminder email, your items will be stored for 2 months for you to collect during our collection times.
Please bring a packed lunch, or there is a Co-op nearby for your convenience.
