12-Week Intermediate Wheel Throwing

Ready to take your throwing to the next level? This intensive course is designed for those who have the basics down and are looking to push their skills with more ambitious forms.

The curriculum is flexible and tailored to what you want to achieve, but we’ll typically dive into:

• Going Bigger: Throwing larger weights (1kg+) and mastering production techniques.

• Complex Shapes: Bottle forms, lidded jars, and closed forms.

• Large Scale: Sectional throwing for moon jars and tall vases.

• Refining: Advanced handle pulling, slip decoration, and altered forms like bakers and butter dishes.

Your course price includes the glazing and firing of up to 16 items.

Each 2.5-hour session includes a solid 2 hours of making time, followed by 30 minutes for us all to tidy down the studio together.

This course is for "Improvers" who have already completed a beginner course.

Further Information:

• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy, cut nails short, and tie hair back.

• As a student, you'll get priority access to our weekly "drop in" sessions if you want extra practice time between classes.

• Our classes run at full capacity, so we can't swap your dates around. If you do miss a session, don't worry, we’ll do our best to help you catch up.

• Please note that no food or drink is permitted in the studio making area.
