1 Day Ceramics Taster Course

Join us for a 4.5 hour taster covering key ceramic skills!

Our talented and experienced tutor Merida will take you through all the steps to make a slab plate AND how to throw on the wheel.

This course is a great way to get a taste of both handbuilding and throwing, if you can’t decide which type of longer course to take with us. It’s also a lovely thing to do with friends and family if you want to find different and creative ways to spend time together!

Whats included:

  • Tuition on how to make a plate using different colours of stoneware clays (1-2 hr approx)

  • Tuition on how to throw items on the wheel (2hrs approx)

  • 30 mins cleanup (throwing gets very messy!)

  • Firing of 2 items - one of each or just keep your thrown items - its up to you!

  • We will fire your items for you - just choose from 2 of our house glazes which we design and make here in Salford.

  • Your items will be ready to collect after 4 weeks as we need to dry and fire your items twice, we will send 1 automatic reminder email after that it is up to you to remember to collect them!
