Course Overview

Begins January 2027

Sundays 5:30-8pm, 8 places

£350 per person

Learn skills in making ceramic jewellery, beads, brooches, rings and more! This is a rare chance to learn some very niche skills which will help you to create your own mini works of wearable art. As far as we are aware this is the only course like it in the UK!

In this 6 week course we will cover:

  • How to make a bead rack to be able to glaze your items safely in our kiln

  • How to stain porcelain and create inlay, nerikomi and marbled designs

  • How to create a range of textured stoneware beads and cabochons using tools and objects to make impressions, and using sprig moulds

  • How to glaze & safely load beads into a bead rack

Schedule:

Week 1: Make a stoneware bead rack, make textured stoneware beads

Week 2: Create porcelain charms using high temperature wire

Week 3: Learn to stain porcelain and create nerikomi and marbled designs

Week 4: Open session to freestyle!

Week 5: Glazing week

Week 6: Assembling week - using stainless steel findings we will assemble our creations into wearable works of art!
