Spooky Season at 7 Spot Pottery: Halloween Workshops, BYOB & Clay

As the nights draw in, the air turns crisp, and the Salford autumn sets in, things are getting delightfully spooky at 7 Spot Pottery.

If you are looking to trade the usual autumn routine for something hands on, creative, and a little bit eerie, we have two fantastic seasonal workshops lined up this October. Whether you want to craft glowing decor for your home or sculpt whimsical wall art with a guest tutor, here is your invitation to get your hands muddy this Halloween.

1. Halloween Tea Light Holders

Friday 23rd October | £45

Kick off the spooky season with a warm glow.

There is nothing quite like the flicker of candlelight through handmade ceramics on a dark autumn evening. In this special workshop, you will learn handbuilding techniques to sculpt your very own Halloween Tea Light Holder.

  • What you will make: Think carved out jack o lantern faces, ghostly silhouettes, spooky cottage lanterns, or textured potion jars designed to cast eerie shadows when lit.

  • The Vibe: Relaxed, creative, and welcoming for absolute beginners. Plus, it is BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle), so feel free to bring along your favourite wine, beer, or a flask of spiced tea to sip while you sculpt.

  • Price: £45 per person, which includes all materials, glazing, and firing.

2. Halloween Ceramic Wall Art with Guest Tutor Eloisa Pope

Friday 30th October | £45

Take your clay work to the next level with special guest artist Eloisa Pope.

Just in time for Halloween night, we are thrilled to welcome back guest tutor Eloisa Pope for an exclusive evening dedicated to sculptural ceramic wall art.

  • What you will make: Using slab building, carving, and surface decoration techniques under Eloisa's expert guidance, you will create a stunning statement piece of Halloween inspired ceramic wall art to hang proudly in your home year after year.

  • The Vibe: An inspiring masterclass atmosphere combined with the cosy, community driven studio energy 7 Spot Pottery is known for. BYOB is fully encouraged, making it a brilliant Friday night out with friends or a creative date night.

  • Price: £45 per person, which includes expert tuition, materials, and firing.

Why Spend Halloween at the Pottery Studio?

Halloween does not just have to be about sweets and scary films. Trading screen time for tactile craft is one of the best ways to decompress as the seasons shift.

  • The Mindfulness of Mud: Working with clay requires your full presence. When your hands are shaping stoneware, the stress of the working week melts away.

  • A True Third Space: Step out of the house and into our Salford studio at 16 Worrall Street. Share laughs, compare spooky designs, and meet fellow creatives from around Manchester and MediaCity.

  • Keep Your Creation Forever: Unlike temporary decorations, your handmade tea light holder or wall art will be glazed, fired, and ready for you to display every October for years to come.

A Quick Peek Ahead

Love the sound of seasonal crafting? While our spooky creations are taking centre stage this month, the studio wheels keep turning year round. As soon as the pumpkins are put away, we will be decking the halls and firing up some very special Christmas pottery workshops and handmade gift making sessions for the festive season. Keep your eyes peeled on our newsletter and booking page announcements coming soon!

Secure Your Spot Before They Vanish!

Our seasonal workshops tend to fill up fast, and spaces are strictly limited to ensure everyone gets plenty of studio space and one on one guidance.

  • Where: 7 Spot Pottery, 16 Worrall Street, Ordsall, Salford, M5 4TH.
